ICT Showcase Events
ICT Showcase Information
Classical readers theatre presentations are performed every third Sunday beginning in October and running through May. Many of the plays given a reading for the first time in the metroplex are under consideration for inclusion in an upcoming season of MainStage productions. Care to help decide what is included in a season? Make your voice heard in the Q&A session that follows each presentation. Care to see a favorite script of yours be given consideration? Any ICT member is eligible to choose a play and direct in this venue. We encourage your attendance and participation. Hey, and admission to the Readers Theatre program is Free! Call the ICT Rudy Seppy Rehearsal Studio at 972-594-6104 for reservations, to volunteer, or find out how to be a director!
Sometimes particular plays under consideration require a little closer inspection. Sometimes it’s necessary to get a play on its feet to get a real feel for how the play works and how it might be received to a larger audience. For these plays, we have ICT Showcase which is given a set, props, costumes just like a real production only in this forum, the actors are still permitted to carry their scripts while realizing their full character development. Showcase productions go under a much longer period of rehearsal. Some of the plays given Showcase production in recent months include, THE PRICE, SYLVIA, A LETTER FROM ETHEL KENNEDY and MASS APPEAL.
Like Readers Theatre, they are performed at the ICT Rudy Seppy Rehearsal Studio and any ICT member is eligible to direct. You don’t necessarily have to be a member to perform in Showcase you can gain free membership in ICT by participating. Hey, and admission is Free! Look for announcements of the next ICT Showcase. Call the ICT Studio at 972-594-6104 for more information.
